In 1997, Freediver invented the original groundbreaking 12V deepsnorkelling machine in a small town in the south of Germany. From there it became popular around the world and is now found any many yachts on all oceans. Today, Freediver is still the most innovative and creative force in the development, improvement and refinement of deepsnorkelling equipment in the world.

As the inventors of the 12V deepsnorkel apparatus, we see it as our responsibility and duty to stay at the fore front of advancement and enhancement of safety, functionality and quality of our products for your enjoyment and safety at sea. Your total safety and satisfaction are our motivation.

Freediver is now finally available in Australia with full customer support and service. Jan Hörstmann is the face of Freediver in Australia. He is a commercially endorsed Offshore Yachtmaster with a background in sales, service and tourism.
Freediver is based near beautiful Byron Bay, mainland Australia’s most easterly point. We are only a short drive from the yachting and boating hubs on the Gold Coast and Brisbane to the north and Coffs Harbour to the south.
